17 is a tender age to be filling your days and nights with recording, songwriting, performing, competing, and trips to Nashville, but that’s just what Kate Lee has experienced the last couple of years

Kate Lee is a fiddler and singer with songs influenced by Irish, American, Country and Bluegrass.

With gifts of instrument and voice, you are welcome to choose your merriment. Whatever the venue, and however large or small the audience, you will be moved to dance.. And the merry love the fiddle... And the merry love to dance.

Although she is only 17 years old, fiddler and vocalist Kate Lee has already amassed an impressive resumé that includes sharing the stage with such artists as Jay Ungar and Rhonda Vincent. “Are We There Yet?” is apparently her debut recording, and although it contains only five tracks, it proves to be a remarkable production. Backed by her band, No Strings Attached, Kate fiddles and sings her way through several original numbers including “On Your Way” and “Train Song.” The proceedings close with a dynamic interpretation of the instrumental “Frosty Morning.” What this disc may lack in numbers is compensated for by the quality of the performances. Is Kate Lee the next Alison Krauss? Only time will tell.
